1 parking space near Town Centre and the Holst Birthplace Museum, Pitville. Convenient for someone looking for a long term parking solution nr town centre. Cheaper than commercial parking lots and more secure as private property.
THIS IS NOT STREET PARKING - it is an allocated private space. Do not park on the street as it is residents only and you may get a ticket!
Turn Right into Portland Square if you are travelling up from Prestbury Road (past Pitville Gates and Sudely Arms pub is on the corner).
Go straight to the very end of the road. On the right you will see a private carpark with space for 4 cars (there is a building site behind this carpark). This carpark is shown on Streetview - the carpark area is directly behind the tree and the wall and is hidden from view.
Turn Right into the carpark and park in the 2nd space on the right (out of 4 allocated private spaces).
No parking permit required as this is my space and private property.

We arrived at the allocated parking site only to find that someone else had parked in this space and there was no parking space left. The parking area is obviously allocated to the different flats, but unfortunately it appears that it is not used as intended by the different owners. We ended up having to drive further to find alternative parking in Cheltenham. We contacted the owner who was very apologetic. Obviously we expect to be refunded the parking money paid for as we could not use the space. More importantly, however, is that whenever we used Parkatmyplace before we have enjoyed very secure and reliable parking. Unfortunately that was not the case in this instance, it was very fortunate that we were not under time pressure to find alternative parking.
