Chef/patron Martin Wishart has practiced his art in some of the starriest London eateries, so it is no suprise to find his chic new establishment has become a mecca for devoted foodies. The short, confident menu is French in the modern/classic style and changes weekly. Recent dishes included roasted fillet of salmon wrapped in crisp potato shell with paysanne of leek with chervil and oyster veloute, and rillettes of duck and port with toasted French country bread and julienne vegetable salad. Wine list quite international.

Martin Wishart was voted one of the best restaurants in Scotland in the Observer Food Monthly's 2006 Food Awards.

Please note that this restaurant is normally fully booked for Saturday evenings 3 months in advance. Weekdays are quieter.
