A Twickenham favourite for many years, Pallavi is a popular South Indian restaurant owned by the people that run Tooting's Radha Krishna Bhavan. Wake up your tastebuds with the addictively sour tang of adai, spicy pan-fried rice and lentil cake, then follow with meat masala dosai - crisp, paper-thin pancakes stuffed with a moreish mix of minced lamb and diced potatoes and served with sambar and coconut chutney. If you're more of a seafood fan, Cochin prawn curry is a fantastic combination of juicy prawns bathing in coconut milk, made zingy with cumin, mustard seeds, chillies and curry leaves. On the side, try the earthy but creamy dahl with spinach and the bright green bean thoran with fresh coconut. Staff are gently helpful and the atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed.
