In its eight years, the Olive Tree Restaurant in the Queensberry Hotel has gained local popularity and national renown as one of the premiere dining places in Bath. The hotel is a stylish contemporary boutique hotel, but the restaurant is an oasis of calm modernity, with excellent British food served with a great attention to detail in relaxed, informal surroundings. Menu changes frequently. Recent hits include starter of grilled fillet of red mullet with pumpkin and cardamon risotto, and main course of grilled loin of marinated venison with celeriac and spiced pears. There's no smoking and your mobile can't get a signal here. You may as well relax and have a pud -- pre order the hot chocolate mint souffle.
