  We were traveling to France for a week as foot passengers via the Cross Chanel Ferry leaving from Portsmouth harbour. We didn't want to pay £70 to leave our car in the Portsmouth harbour car park so this was a money saving alternative. The carpark space itself was relatively easy to find with the instructions we were emailed including a hand drawn map! Felt the car would be safe as seemed like a nice car-park situated within a nice development of flats. The walk from the carpark space to the Gosport ferry took us about 10 mins (we are 2 relatively fit 20 somethings with a suitcase), we then paid approx. £2.50 each for a return ticket to cross over. The Gosport ferry runs approx. every 15 mins and takes about 4 mins to cross so not too much waiting around. Once we crossed over we decided to walk to the cross channel terminal which took us about 20-25 mins. You can get a taxi for about £6.00 or I believe there was a yellow bus which was £1.50 p/p (not 100% sure this is accurate, we only figured this out on the way home when we saw it at the terminal!) All in all it was a bit of a trek but considering the amount of money we saved I personally think it was worth it and would use this space again.

  Very good communication, a bit far from the port but easy enough to get to and would rather pay a person than the port, that's got enough money. Thanks for everything !!

  Good parking spot. Owner gave very detailed instructions. I would use the parking spot again.

  I found the parking space no problem, the advert said 10 minutes walk to Portsmouth harbour, after walking for ten minutes we flagged a cab down to take us to the Gosport ferry to get the boat to Portsmouth harbour, we then had to get another cab to P&O ferries, we had to also make this long journey coming back and due to the journey could not buy any Duty Free, cost of parking here for three days was parking-£9.00, return ferry to/from Gosport-£4.60, taxi return Gosport side £9.00, taxi return Portsmouth side 13.00, total cost £35.50 compared to parking at Portsmouth ferry port for £30.00. Advert was extremely misleading and no good for a short break, I think Dusty Pink needs to advise all that you have to get a ferry to Portsmouth and it's only cost effective for a long break, I felt cheated by it all.

  I'm sorry for the difficulties found with the space however the advert does state that the space is a 10 minute walk to the Gosport ferry which you have to catch in order to get over to Portsmouth. It does not state that it is 10 minutes from the Portsmouth ferry. I also sent over very detailed instructions on this even including taxi numbers and a map. I agree that it is more cost effective for longer breaks and have amended this on my advert due to your feedback so thank you for this.

  Would recommend, although an allocated parking space, it was in a nice quiet residential area, I felt confident that my car was safe. Full instructions were given on how to get there, easy to find,very obliging gentleman.
