I nearly cried this morning when I thought my computer had deleted all the documents I’ve been working on over the past few days. Upon further investigation, it turned out I was so tired last night that in the process of saving the files, I accidentally cut and paste them into a random folder.  Mental note to self nonetheless – back-up everyday.

Hardly a day goes by when I don’t have trouble finding parking at some point and remember why I’m doing what I’m doing.  But just to reinforce things, I received a letter this week from the council regarding a parking ticket I got three weeks ago.

The letter told me that the council hadn’t received my £50 penalty fee in time and that I should therefore pay another £50.  I have now sent an appeal letter on the grounds that I posted the cheque several days before the two-week time limit expired and I couldn’t account for the delay in the postal service.
