Over the past few days we’ve been hard at work to allow you to view our available parking spaces in as many ways as possible. Today we added a few feed icons which are displayed on all our parking space search pages.

By clicking on the Google Earth Icon you will be able to download our parking feed which will automatically add our parking space data to your Google Earth interface.

For all of you that have not checked out the wonder that is Google Earth you can download it here. Even if it just to see your house with your car parked outside or find out who in your local area has a swimming pool in their back garden, it is a great way to kill a bit of time on your own or with a friend.

We also now provide a RSS (‘Really Simple Syndication’) feed for all search results.

You need a ‘RSS News Reader’ to get started - Google Reader is one of the most popular ones but you can do a google search to find others.

You can now subscribe to a website by clicking on the orange button representing the RSS feed ( or ).

Once you have subscribed to a website feed, you can then read all the latest information right there in your news reader, without having to navigate to the site first.

Try and do a search for `parking near london` or Parking in SW1 with 24/7 Access and Underground. Then click on the orange button in the top right hand corner of the search results and you will be able to save this feed and be notified whenever new spaces become available.

In addition to all the above (yes, we’ve been working very hard!), you can now tell your friends on Facebook about ParkatmyHouse.com by sharing our search pages with your friends. Simply click on the facebook icon and it will be added to your profile. It really could not be easier.

We have been very busy working away in the background trying to include all the features our users have been requesting over the past few months. Although we still have plenty of new ideas in the pipeline, we think you will be very happy with the improvements we have made today.

We now have over 2,700 parking spaces listed on ParkatmyHouse.com and this number is continuing to grow and as always, if you can think of ways that we could improve the service we currently offer, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Updated Message Centre
We have updated our online messaging facility to make it much easier to see an archive of correspondence from each user and for each parking space. It is now also much simpler to reply to messages and to view the latest unread messages in your account.

Improved Parking Control Panel
Adding and editing your parking space details and availability has been made simpler and more interactive. Our photo uploading facility is now much quicker and we even offer you a preview of the photo before you submit it.

If you have not updated your parking space listing recently please login to your account to edit the availability and features of your listing to increase the likelihood of a user making an enquiry about your space.

Online Account Facility
ParkatmyHouse.com is completely free to use for those looking for somewhere to park and for those wishing to list their parking space’s on the website. As stated in our terms and conditions, ParkatmyHouse.com charges a 10% ongoing commission charge from the parking space owner for all the rental income received each month.

We will contact the parkers every month to let us know which parking spaces they have successfully rented for that month. This will allow us to bill and invoice the respective owners which in turn will help us to keep this service running.

As of 19th June 2007, ParkatmyHouse.com does not collect payments for the rental of parking space’s. All payments are to be made direct to the parking space owner.

Get Paid for your Parking Space using PayPal
If you update your profile or parking space with your Paypal e-mail address and indicate in your parking space listing that you wish to be paid via Paypal, ParkatmyHouse.com will automatically let the person looking to rent your space that they can pay for the space securely online with Paypal. This will provide additional security thanks to Paypal’s buyer protection facility. Please check the Paypal website for full information about this feature.

Linking and mentioning ParkatmyHouse.com on your website or blog no longer needs to be a boring text link. We now offer interactive ways to integrate our growing list of available parking spaces on to your website.

Let me introduce you to our Interactive Map Widget.

By adding just three lines of code to your website you can have a map like above on your website. All you need to do is choose a postcode to display. You then have the choice to display parking spaces, pubs, restaurants and a wide variety of other local amenities using the ParkatmyHouse.com database.

The map will show the closest 25 locations around the chosen postcode. These locations link directly to the relevant information page on the ParkatmyHouse.com website.

In addition you can use drop down menus, standard text links and graphics to link directly to ParkatmyHouse.com and once you sign up to be an affiliate, you can earn up to 35% of the commission we earn through users sent to our website from your website. Today we launched a very useful feature which allows you to save a list of your favourite parking spaces direct to your account. These favourites will remain attached to your profile until you delete them.

In addition to our favourites feature, you now also have direct access to downloadable contracts direct from your account. We have over six different types of contract available.

These contracts have been created by our legal team and provide added insurance should either party have any concerns during a transaction.

• Discussion Forum
  Share your ideas, experiences, frustrations and quirky parking related stories with us now in our discussion forum. This is a great way to find out what people are prepared to pay in certain areas and to learn about people’s past experiences in dealing with the site.
• Proximity Search Results
  Whenever you search for a space or local amenity a quick proximity navigation menu will be displayed on the left hand side of the search results. By using the navigation menu you will see only results within a 2 and a half mile radius of the location you select.
• Add your business
  We have over 100,000 businesses listed on ParkatmyHouse.com ranging from cricket stadiums to B&B’s to petrol stations. We want to grow this database by including all businesses within the UK. If you own or know of a business which does not have a listing then please add it to our database.
• Upload a photo with your parking space listing
  Sometimes it is nice to see where you’ll be parking your car before you get there. Starting from 31st January you can now add a photo to your parking space listing. You can see an example of this by viewing this available parking space near Carshalton Station.

This page will be updated when new features of the website become available.

If you a returning visitor, you will hopefully be aware that we have changed a few things. Not only has the look and feel of the site changed, but the way users interact with each other has been made even easier. No longer do you have to send a message to a user and get frustrated by their late replies.

Here is a detailed list of all the new facilities now available to registered users of the web site.

• Search Bar
  Simply enter a post code, a city or some keywords and you will be presented with categorised search results which match your search query. A good example of what you could type is ‘london football stadiums’.
• Book a Parking Space
  How frustrating must it be if you want to book a parking space but the user you contact never gets back to you? We have solved this problem by allowing you to book your parking space online. The owner of the space will receive a text message alerting them of your request as soon as it is submitted.
• Choose Accurate dates and times of availability
  When you list a space as available, you can now accurately display when the space is available. Be it from 3pm till 6pm on Wednesdays or every day 9am till 5pm, the person booking a space will have all the information they will require about the availability of your parking space.
• Parking News
  Whenever we see an article which is relevant to Parking we will post it in our Parking News Section of the website.
• Tell a friend
